What is a Business Broker?
A Business Broker is an impartial third party that works with both the buyer and seller in the business sale process and assists in closing the deal. As you can imagine, it's not an easy job and requires a lot of patience, negotiation, and determination. But those who choose to become a Business Broker are rewarded with great career perspective - it is an exciting and rewarding profession to be in.
Life Skills & Experience required:
* Previous business owner or manager
* Sales and marketing experience
* Understanding accountant financials
* Excellent listening and communication skills
* Negotiation skills
Low-Cost Start-Up Business
Becoming a Business Broker with ABS and operating as a licenced agent is a low-cost start-up, with an opportunity to earn an uncapped income. Below is a list of what you will need to become a qualified Business Broker and work as a contracted agent on your own ABN:
* Online Qualification (Real Estate Agent): $1,000
* Office of Fair Trading (OFT) Yearly Fee: $1,700 approx.
* Professional membership and training with the Australian Institute of Business Brokers: $1,000 approx.
* Car
* Laptop
Flexible Lifestyle
Business Brokers at ABS can work flexibly, with access to a fully-equipped office in Milton 24/7 & home office based opportunity available in sydney, NSW, plus being able to create your own schedule and easily work from home with a laptop and mobile. This allows brokers to choose their own hours and fulfil outside obligations and spend extra time with family.
Experienced Support Network
ABS Business Sales has been established for 25 years, with many experienced brokers on board. We service all of Queensland & NSW and have a huge database of sellers and buyers. Our director, Ken Allsop, is very experienced in the industry and provides training for all brokers. In 2018, we won the Queensland Business Broker of the Year (AIBB). Admin assistance is available 9am to 5pm weekdays. We also have established relationships with many solicitors, accountants and advisors.
