Most shed businesses sell a kit and leave the rest to the customer. This one designs the building, obtains the permit, pours the slab, erects the structure and handles the earthworks and retaining walls, all under a Registered Building Practitioner. It then sells the same customer a patio, verandah, carport, outdoor blinds, fencing, shutters or decking through its second brand, which holds the authorised dealership for a leading national outdoor living range.
Revenue has grown from $1.7M to $3.1M in two years. Construction is delivered through an established subcontractor network, so the business runs with a small core team and a light fixed-cost base. A customer-facing display centre on a main road and a separate works yard are held on two leases with options to 2030.
