THE BRAND
Brumby’s Bakeries Limited is one of Australia’s largest and most successful franchise groups. The history of the group dates back to 1975, when the first store opened in the Victorian suburb of Ashburton. The store was known as the “Old Style Bread Centre”. Over the next decade “Old Style Bread Centre” was introduced and expanded in Queensland. To give the group a truely Australian identity, it was rebranded as Brumby’s during the 1980s. The Brumby’s Bakeries group is a wholly owned subsidiary of Retail Food Group (Australia), which manages under license, the Donut King, bb's café, Brumby’s Bakery Gloria Jeans Coffees & Michel’s brands.
